We arrived at the house about 4:30 pm, after a lengthy search, during which we saw a lot of the countryside of Umbria. The house is lovely, with lots of bedrooms and a pool and tennis courts!
This morning we had a late breakfast of eggs and different breads with really tasty fresh fruit and jam and of course, Nutella.
Today there are no actual plans to visit anywhere, so we will stay close to the house and maybe play tennis and swim in the pool.

Flight
Thomas and I both watched a couple of movies on the plane on the plane on the way to Rome and one of them I want to recommend. The movie was called Kingsmen, and it was interesting and very funny. We had a great flight on Air Transat. the service was excellent and we were introduced to the staff on the plane. Thanks Julie!
Once we landed in Rome the waiting started! there was quite a wait to clear immigration, and to get the suitcases, but the wait to get the rental car was over two hours!
Once we got the car we were happy but very very tired. We had printed directions to the hotel, but no actual map. Thomas was the navigator, and he was doing a great job at reading the printed Google directions, and reading the Italian road signs, until he silently fell asleep.
In the meantime,Alice was sleeping soundly in the back seat.
We knew we were close, and suddenly Thomas woke up and spotted the hotel sign at the next exit. We were all never so happy to find a hotel and more importantly, their beds!
We slept soundly for four hours, woke up, and called Mom on FaceTime and talked to her for a while. Afterwards we went to a very nice restaurant about a minute away from the hotel. We all ate a very satisfying meal, then went back to the hotel and retired for the night.
